The Krueger Group was attracted to this renovation project based on the home’s deep lot, great structural integrity, and inviting neighborhood. From the very start we knew that major mechanical updates, layout improvements, and fresh finishes were in store for us to bring life back into this home.
For the re-designed kitchen, the wall separating the kitchen and dining room was removed in order to accommodate a more open first floor and an “eat-in” kitchen. The kitchen space was completed with French doors out to a brand new elevated deck not only allowed for more light but also access to the back yard from the first floor for the first time. A small half bath was added on the first floor for guests visiting the home.
On the second floor an existing bedroom was converted to an updated master suite with the existing attic space allowing us to vault the ceiling and showcase a set of oak steps up to the attic. A bathroom was added for the two additional bedrooms and along with a laundry room.
The basement saw can lights added throughout to brighten up this usable space, as well as fresh paint and carpet.
Rounding out the renovation, new siding was installed on the exterior at all elevations, reclaimed sandstone sidewalks became a new patio, and an old shed at the rear of the property was brought back to life with new HardiPlank lap siding, deck floor, and electrical to allow for dry storage.
