Positive Education Program (PEP) – Prentiss Autism Center

Positive Education Program’s (PEP) LEED Silver certified Prentiss Autism Center is a 33,000 square feet state-of-the-art learning and training facility serving the needs of students, and teachers from the entire Cleveland metropolitan area. The Krueger Group, in addition to identifying and representing PEP in the site selection, acted as construction manager for this renovation of a former office building located in Fairview Park, Ohio.

From the beginning, careful consideration towards the student population and external stresses added to the background were taken while creating a sustainable and utility efficient building that takes advantage of the wide variety of green technologies, including:

  • Cutting edge daylight harvesting technology.
  • Ultra-efficient HVAC systems chosen for low levels of noise emitted.
  • Plumbing fixtures with water conservation abilities.
  • Use of recycled building materials from within the site’s region.

Upon completion, the building features the following:

  • (14) Classrooms.
  • (1) Training room.
  • Cafeteria and full-service commercial kitchen.
  • (2) Life skills rooms.
  • (1) Art room.
  • (4) Conference rooms.
  • (1) Motor activity room.
  • (1) Library.
  • (2) Sensory rooms.
  • (5) Small group rooms.
  • (6) Offices.
