As Vice President of Preconstruction, Dan specializes in the preconstruction phases of TKG projects, evaluating and performing the complete due diligence required before one hammer can swing. Originally from the Cleveland area, he graduated from DePaul University and remained in Chicago as he began his career, working first as Trim Superintendent and Purchasing Agent for Lakewood Homes, and then as Purchasing Agent for both Lennar (NYSE: LEN) and Orleans Homebuilders (then publicly traded), before returning to Cleveland and joining the family business in the summer of 2009.
Having first contributed to TKG and its predecessor, Krueger, Grealis and Associates, throughout his student years by caring for TKG properties and learning the process from the inside, Dan now integrates his professional experience with the pronounced sense of integrity and responsibility to community that the family business instilled in him. Responsible for all phases of the estimating services provided, his diligence in maintaining budget control, and quality assurance is instrumental in defining our clients vision by the numbers. He revels in the ability to hand off a properly planned project to the operations team knowing he’s helped set them up for success, then seeing a client’s look of approval on the day TKG hands over the keys.
Dan graduated from St. Ignatius High School in 1998 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from DePaul University. He has completed a 23-day leadership mountaineering course through Colorado Outward Bound School, is a Dale Carnegie graduate, and has served as a youth lacrosse coach and member of the Associate Board at the West Side Catholic Center. You may also catch him around Cleveland playing bass with Faith & Whiskey, a band that has played at fundraisers that have raised over $1.5M+ and counting for a variety of great causes. All of this though takes a backseat when it comes to spending time with his wife and their daughter and son.
