Tangle Town Residence

For this residence in the Beachcliff I neighborhood of Rocky River’s Tangle Town, The Krueger Group seamlessly integrated a 675 square feet primary suite on to the home’s west elevation to accomplish the homeowner’s desire for one story living.

Located just around the bend from a prominent outcropping overlooking Lake Erie that is popular with Rocky River residents, privacy was crucial from the earliest design meetings. Equally as crucial was incorporating ample windows to capture the morning sun.  The finished product is a thoughtfully planned, spacious primary suite offset at the front and built 20’ past the existing foundation at the back that opens up to a private patio.  Upon completion, features include:

• A generous primary bedroom with tray ceiling with inlaid wood paneling and recessed 4” can lights.
• A walk-in-closet with his and hers dressing area, built-in cabinetry, and custom closet systems.
• A primary bathroom with custom cabinetry, quartz countertops, walk-in shower and premium light and plumbing fixtures.

Painstaking effort to match exterior finishes included:

• Sourcing bricks with identical shape and finish for exterior walls.
• Alignment in height and depth of existing mortar joints.
• Slate roofing, copper step flashing, gutters and downspouts.
• Triple paned windows and oculus.
• Wood shutters.
• Painting of exterior elevations to match finish of existing house.

Additionally, upon completion of the addition, the remainder of the first floor, including the kitchen and powder room, was renovated to match the high-end finishes of the new addition.
